Accounting Manager
Reports To: Director of Administration

Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in managing the daily financial operations of the organization and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. This position requires a hands on, detail oriented leader with a CPA license, 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, and strong supervisory skills. The Accounting Manager will oversee general ledger management, account analysis, A/R and A/P supervision, and month end reconciliation. Additionally, this individual will work closely with the CFO to support strategic financial planning and reporting and should possess a foundational understanding of customer service principles as they relate to financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Direct daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger and financial transactions
* Supervise and support the accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) teams, ensuring timely and accurate processing
*Perform and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year end account reconciliations and close processes
*Analyze financial statements and general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with GAAP
*Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the CFO to support strategic planning and forecasting
*Maintain internal controls and recommend enhancements for efficiency and accuracy
*Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members to improve performance and engagement
*Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audits and regulatory compliance
*Work collaboratively with the customer service department to resolve billing inquiries and support client satisfaction
*Ensure financial policies and procedures are consistently followed
*Manage budgeting and assist with ad hoc financial projects
Qualifications:
*CPA certification required
*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, including team supervision
*Experience with account analysis, and reconciliation
* Prior responsibility for managing A/P and A/R operations preferred
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.) preferred
*Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
*Strong leadership presence and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
*Familiarity with customer service operations as they relate to finance and billing processes
Work Conditions
This is a full time, in office position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Occasional extended hours may be required during month end or year end closings.
