Remote (must live within 100 miles of DC area)
NexFirm is a rapidly growing leader in the outsourcing industry. We manage the back office for law firms, allowing them to focus on developing their business. Our services are in the areas of strategy, finance and accounting, IT & telecommunications, HR and benefits, administration, and operations.
Position Overview:
This a remote position where the candidate is expected to work primarily from home, but will be required to visit DC clients occasionally. We expect employees to travel to participate in our annual team meeting once a year.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting
Highly proficient with QuickBooks and MS Excel
Excellent written and verbal skills
Experience working with clients a must
Strong communication and presentation skills
Accounting experience in the legal industry a plus
Responsibilities:
Forecasting and analysis for clients
Conduct monthly calls with clients to review financials
Review staff accountant entries and reconciliations
Review monthly close
Work with clients on budgeting
Assist clients with financial strategy and planning
Participate in year-end financial review process with clients
Assist clients with ad hoc requests
