Position Summary
The Junior HR Generalist is responsible for providing human resources support to Energizer’s Indonesia operations. This includes acting as the Human Resources Business Partner to the functional groups represented in this market, including Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT. This position will typically interface with director-level and below colleagues regarding employee relations, salary administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, compensation, and talent management. The Junior HR Generalist will play a key role in ensuring HR policies and procedures align with local labor laws and company standards. Additionally, this individual will provide support to the Associate Manager, Human Resources - Philippines & Indonesia in communicating, delivering, and influencing human resources strategies and initiatives.

Specific Accountabilities
Assist in implementing HR strategies and initiatives to support organizational structure, processes, systems, and metrics that enable the Indonesia team to meet business goals.
Support line managers in workforce planning and achievement of business objectives by providing HR-related insights and assisting in talent management efforts.
Coordinate with the business and HR team on recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and retention initiatives to strengthen organizational capability.
Participate in talent reviews, succession planning discussions, and performance evaluations, contributing insights to workforce planning.
Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a basic understanding of relevant Indonesia employment laws and following agreed processes. May track/monitor necessary data and information to mitigate risks.
Drive utilization of the HR Operating Model, including manager and colleague self-service, ensuring alignment with company HR policies and procedures.
Coordinate and monitor people managers' application and effective use of HR tools, policies, and processes to enhance consistency and compliance.
Execute organizational effectiveness initiatives, such as implementing and monitoring organizational design principles and continuous improvement efforts.
Promote the role of Human Resources and enhance the credibility of the function by working collaboratively with HR team members to proactively share best practices and processes.
Provide location-specific insights to help regional and global HR teams align strategies with Indonesia-specific requirements.
Assist in the local execution of HR initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation through effective communication and change management support.
Provide general guidance to managers on HR policies, employee relations concerns, and best practices while escalating complex issues to senior HR colleagues when necessary.
May perform other duties as assigned to support overall HR functions and business needs.
What we are looking for
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-3 years of functional Human Resources experience, preferably in a business partnership or generalist capacity.
Knowledge of Indonesia labor and employment laws as they pertain to HR practices, with a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving regulations.
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different levels of the organization.
Ability to influence for a desired outcome, demonstrating confidence in recommending HR solutions and best practices.
Comfortable respectfully challenging decisions, when necessary, while maintaining professional relationships.
Effective at balancing strategic partnership, change management, administrative support, and employee advocacy.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
Solid business acumen, understanding how HR decisions impact overall business performance.
Previous experience assisting line managers in coaching, talent development, or performance discussions.
Ability to work independently, managing day-to-day HR responsibilities while collaborating with broader HR teams when needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience
HR Certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR, CIPD).
Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS.
Background in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Knowledge of compensation practices including salary benchmarking and benefits administration.
Working Relationships
Reports to the Associate Manager, Human Resources – Philippines & Indonesia.
Key internal relationships include the Business Director – Philippines & Indonesia; Sales Director – Indonesia; Payroll Team; and Corporate HR team.
Work Environment
