How Many Advanced Practice Providers: 2 APPs

Supervision of APPs: Yes surgicalist as supervisor

Nursing Support: 1 clinical staff per physician

Ancillary Staff: 2 receptionists per department

Exam/Procedure Rooms: 2 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms per provider

Job Responsibilities:

First Assist in the OR

Clinic consults & follow-up

Surgical procedures (laparoscopic, open, robotic)

Endoscopy

Trauma & General Surgery Call

Inpatient rounding & ED consults

Qualifications

Board Certified PA-C REQUIRED

Active Iowa License or Active Compact License REQUIRED

Clean background strongly preferred (documentation for any settled/pending malpractice must be provided)

COVID Vaccine REQUIRED

Working Hours

14 shifts per 28-day period

24-hour shifts: 12 hours onsite, 12 hours call coverage
