Skillforce is currently hiring skilled Fluxcore Welders for a contract to hire opportunity in Bessemer, AL.! Our client is redefining how buildings are made and they’re looking for experienced Fluxcore Welders to join their growing team. They are a pioneer in the Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) system, producing large, prefabricated building components that are assembled on site into fully functional medical and commercial spaces, faster and better than traditional construction.

With over 400 employees and 11 production lines, our client is rapidly scaling and needs skilled tradespeople who are ready to be part of something bold, different, and future-forward. This is a full time role working Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours a week. Pay for this role is $26/hr-$28/hr, depending upon experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Perform Fluxcore (FCAW) welding on structural steel components used in modular units

Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings

Inspect finished welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with quality standards

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production goals

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience with Fluxcore welding (FCAW) in a manufacturing or structural setting

Ability to read welding blueprints and interpret technical specs

Familiarity with welding tools, grinders, and measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to pass an x-ray weld test
