POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President of Finance will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial activities within our organization. They will partner closely with the President, and Executive Leadership Team to help drive key initiatives in line with the organization’s overall strategic direction. They will play a critical role in shaping and executing financial strategies, driving financial performance, providing strategic leadership across all core operational functions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Their expertise will guide decision-making processes and contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.

Financial Planning and Analysis:
Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning and forecasting.
Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
Monitor and analyze financial trends and prepare reports for senior management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop departmental budgets.
Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis to assess financial performance against budgets.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
Present financial reports to the President, executive leadership, stakeholders, and the board of directors.
Accounting:
Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and general ledger.
Manage month end close reconciliations and processes.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of client invoices.
Maintain quality over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Manage financial risk by implementing internal controls and procedures.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and tax requirements.
Oversee audit processes and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow projections and report to executive leadership.
Optimize the management of banking relationships and investment strategies.
Strategic Leadership:
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Collaborate with executive team members to drive company-wide initiatives and goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of accounting and/or finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance financial literacy across the organization.
Operations & Technology Oversight:
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to optimize revenue capture and reduce denials.
Collaborate with the Director, RCM to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue cycle functions, such as days in A/R, clean claim rate, denial rate, and cash collections.
Provide leadership and direction for various aspects of organizational operations.
Partner with the Technology leader and vendors to evaluate, implement, and optimize operational technology solutions (e.g., EHR, billing systems, clearinghouses).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Controller, Director of Finance, or other Senior level finance role; with a minimum of two years public accounting experience.
BS/BA in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or relevant field.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, forecasting and strategic leadership.
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
An analytical mind with strategic ability, problem solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Track record of driving operational efficiencies, cost savings, and improved revenue performance.
Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Previous experience in a healthcare or technology related environment.
Understanding healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and value-based models.
MA/MS in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or relevant field.
Previous experience with acquisitions and consolidations.
CPA or other relevant certification/qualification.
Excellent strategic planning and financial forecasting skills, with the ability to translate revenue cycle management trends into actionable insights.
Experience in implementing performance-driven strategies that yield cost efficiencies and measurable revenue growth in a healthcare setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
WORK LOCATION: This is a remote/hybrid position with the expectation of travel to meet the needs of the position. Work is completed in a general office environment, sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The work environment is favorable with adequate lighting and temperature, and no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Must be able to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
