Job Title: Junior Program Data Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days/week)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Program Data Analyst to support a utility-led energy efficiency incentive program. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making processes through reporting, financial planning, and database management. This position is hybrid with three days a week required onsite in Jersey City, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management & Reporting:
Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in data systems.
Identify and implement corrective actions for data inconsistencies.
Maintain and improve existing reporting tools.
Deliver weekly/monthly status and transaction reports in alignment with program requirements.
Generate ad hoc reports related to program metrics such as energy savings and incentive calculations.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Prepare timely and accurate invoices.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic insights.
Track financial performance and report variances.
Database Monitoring & Support:
Collaborate with IT to ensure proper database configuration and functionality.
Support system enhancements and assist in populating lookup tables.
Train team members on using tracking systems and reporting tools.
Identify and communicate process and system gaps for improvements.
Administrative Support:
Provide office administration assistance including managing mail, ordering supplies, greeting visitors, and receiving packages.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics) preferred.
High proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, data filtering, etc.), Power BI, and Oracle.
Familiarity with programming languages like R, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
Experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
2+ years of energy efficiency or utility program experience preferred.
Must be a resident of New Jersey.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Team-oriented with a collaborative and proactive approach.
Work Details:
Start Date: Mid to Late July
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite in Jersey City, NJ)
Duration: Open-ended engagement
