We are seeking a seasoned and solutions-driven Claims Supervisor with expertise in Auto Bodily Injury (BI), Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) claims, as well as Homeowners and Commercial Liability claims. This leadership role requires deep technical knowledge, a proactive management style, and the ability to confidently interface with legal counsel on complex and litigated files.

Position Overview:

As Claims Supervisor, you will lead a team of adjusters handling a diverse portfolio of claims involving personal auto liability, UM/UIM losses, premises liability, and general liability exposures for residential and commercial risks. You will serve as a strategic resource for technical guidance, litigation oversight, and claim resolution strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and mentor a team of liability adjusters across auto, homeowners, and commercial claims.

Oversee the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and legal liability.

Act as a primary liaison for defense counsel, plaintiff attorneys, and insureds, especially on complex or litigated matters.

Review reserves, settlement authority, and coverage determinations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Promote timely and thorough documentation, customer service, and regulatory adherence.

Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance claim outcomes and team efficiency.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling auto liability (BI, UM, UIM), homeowners liability, and commercial general liability claims.

At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a claims or TPA environment.

Demonstrated experience managing litigated files and engaging with attorneys, mediators, and experts.

Strong working knowledge of policy interpretation, multi-jurisdictional regulations, and best practices in liability claims handling.

Proficient in claims management software and digital documentation tools.

Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Multi-line claims handling background (auto, property, general liability).

Active state adjuster licenses or ability to obtain.

Experience with platforms such as ISO, XactAnalysis, CCC Pathways or Guidewire.
