Position Description:

Database Administration Support

Focus on providing database administration support for Oracle, SQL server, and Azure SQL server databases which includes

Performs database upgrades

Performs Database deployments

Monitors database performance, storage, backups, and alerts and makes recommendations for corrective action

Performs database security related tasks

Creates database objects (tables, views, etc) to support the development teams

Database Development Support

Provides database development support for Oracle, SQL server, and Azure SQL server databases which includes

Performs code reviews to support Database development

Translates logical ERD’s into physical models

Perform database deployments

General Database Support

Provides off-hours support when required

Provides on-site disaster recovery assistance when required

Mentors other DBA’s and designs best practices as it pertains to database administration

Leads projects from start to finish and delegate tasks to other teams and team members

Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and/or Training:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus

Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)

Azure AZ900 and DP900 training required

Additional Azure training a plus

Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years tenure as a Database Administrator Experienced with relational architecture

Minimum 3 years’ experience with installing, configuring, and supporting Oracle and/or SQL server database environments

Minimum 2 years tenure as a Database Administrator or Database Developer, level 2

Experience with Azure SQL database environments.

Knowledge of Azure Cloud technologies

Must be well versed with database procedures to include installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and SQL statement tuning

Experienced using ETL tools to document and move data as needed

Experienced with Linux operating system and shell scripting

Experienced with Windows Server operating systems

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $97,450.00 - $141,300.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
