Direct Mail Data Processor

Job Description

Leading digital direct mail and commercial printing company in the Chicago area is searching to hire an experienced Data Processor for their Mailing Department.

Responsibilities include:

Analyze client specifications and requirements to process data / mailing lists and deliver accurately processed and formatted data for appropriate equipment.

Follow data job through to completion including data file receipt, postal sort, VDP page composition, output formatting, and file generation.

Generate and validate distribution reports (i.e.: list codes; zip code; other demographic profiling information) for required jobs using provided applications or other external software.

Understand USPS postal specifications relating to mail piece design and automation compliance as well as address block placement and formatting in order to identify common errors in data instructions received on all mailing jobs.

Use scripting languages of department applications to select and manipulate customer data per job specifications while maintaining the integrity of the output.

Coordinate with production, mailroom operations and outside vendors to make certain quality standards and timelines are met.

Qualifications include:

Minimum 2-4 years' experience in data processing in a direct mail printing environment.

Minimum 3 years experience with BCC Mail Manager software, Quadient Inspire or similar software.

Proficient on MSO Suite.

Knowledge of postal regulations.

Organized and detail oriented.

Good communication skills.

Day shift position.

Starting salary range $65,000 - $75,00 + excellent healthcare benefits, 401k match, vacation and PTO.Company Description
