Controls Design Engineer

Description: Insight Global is seeking to hire a Controls Design Engineer to join one of our clients here in Indianapolis, IN on a full-time basis. Our client is a large industrial integrator, supporting several customers around the Greater Indianapolis area. Below are some of the areas they specialize in:

Specialty equipment & new systems

Data collection/analysis

Machine safety

Inspection systems

Equipment upgrades

Batch and processing controls

High speed motion control

Position Scope: This candidate will design and develop all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery. This candidate will also be involved in the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Technology

Ideally, 3-7+ years of related working experience within Electrical Controls Design

Effective written and verbal communication, as the candidate will be interacting with project managers and customers directly

Ability to work in a team environment is required

Ability to work onsite in Indianapolis, IN 46278

Willingness to travel to customer sites within the Greater Indianapolis area (estimated to be 20% of the time)
