Job Title: CNC Machinist 2ND SHIFT

Job Description:
This ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision injection molding parts used in the manufacturing process. This role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, blueprint reading, and quality control to ensure the highest standards of production.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts as per blueprints and technical specifications.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to ensure accurate manufacturing of parts.
Machine Calibration: Calibrate CNC machines and adjust settings such as speeds, feeds, and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for adherence to specifications and perform adjustments or rework as necessary to meet quality standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Tooling and Material Handling: Select, install, and maintain tools, cutters, and fixtures for machining operations. Monitor material inventory to ensure necessary supplies are available.
Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing setting.
Skills: Proficient in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and machine calibration. Familiarity with both manual and automated CNC equipment is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and cutting tools. Knowledge of machining materials and their properties.
Attention to Detail: Ability to detect and correct issues in the machining process to ensure the highest quality parts.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications:
CNC programming experience (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas systems).
Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Vocational training or certifications in CNC machining is a plus.
Working Environment:
Full-time position, with potential for overtime.
