JOB DETAILS: Title: Web Developer Department: Technology & Development Reports to: Head of Technology / Project Manager Key Responsibilities: 1.

Website Design and Development Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly websites using modern front-end and back-end technologies.

Build custom themes and templates for WordPress, Joomla, or other CMS platforms.

Implement clean UI/UX designs, ensuring compatibility across devices and browsers.

Web Application Development Create dynamic and interactive web applications using frameworks like React, Vue.js, Laravel, Django, or Node.js.

Develop APIs and integrate third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, CRMs, SMS/email APIs). 3.

Website Maintenance and Optimization Monitor website performance and troubleshoot bugs or functionality issues.

Conduct regular updates, backups, and patch management.

Optimize website speed, SEO, and accessibility compliance.

Client Engagement & Support Interpret client requirements, suggest technical solutions, and provide cost/time estimates.

Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver client-ready products.

Provide post-deployment support, training, and documentation.

Security and Data Protection Implement security best practices including SSL, firewalls, form validation, and secure authentication systems.

Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and ensure websites are compliant with data protection regulations.

Version Control and Deployment Use Git or other version control tools for code management.

Manage deployment using FTP/SFTP, cPanel, Docker, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean). Key Skills & Technologies: Languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Python Frameworks: Laravel, React.js, Vue.js, Django CMS: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal Tools: Git, Figma, Photoshop, Webpack, NPM/Yarn Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB DevOps: Docker, cPanel, Cloudflare, AWS/DigitalOcean Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and quality assurance Effective communication and documentation Time management and ability to work under deadlines Creativity and continuous learning mindset Required Qualifications Education: A Diploma in ICT, Computer Science, Software Engineering OR Information Systems is required Experience: 2-3 years experience required
