Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Extruder Operator to join our manufacturing team in Woodbridge. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of hands-on experience operating extrusion machinery, particularly in the production of plastic or wood composites. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion lines while ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate extrusion machines according to production requirements

Monitor machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and speed; adjust as needed

Perform routine quality checks using calipers, gauges, and other tools

Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor maintenance or die changes

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Load raw materials (resins, additives) and ensure smooth material flow

Record production data and report any inconsistencies or equipment issues

Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet shift goals

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

2–3 years of recent experience as an Extruder Operator or similar machine operator

Strong mechanical skills and understanding of extrusion processes

Ability to read technical drawings and follow work orders

Comfortable lifting to 50 lbs and standing for long periods

Willingness to work rotating shifts or overtime when required

Basic computer or machine interface knowledge

Preferred Skills

Experience in plastic or wood-composite extrusion

Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality inspection tools

Forklift certification or experience handling materials

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
