HVAC Estimator Position Available at INTEK Heating & Air

Job Summary:

The HVAC Estimator will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing cost estimates for HVAC projects, including installations, repairs, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction process, ensuring competitive and profitable bidding that aligns with the company's high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for a wide range of HVAC projects.

Perform detailed take-offs of materials, equipment, and labor.

Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

Develop and maintain a database of costs for materials, labor, and equipment.

Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to clients and management.

Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and requirements.

Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to project execution.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of five (5) years of proven experience as an HVAC Estimator.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is required, or the willingness and ability to obtain certification upon hiring.

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building codes, and industry best practices.

Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

This position may require travel up to 25% of the time to project sites and for client meetings.

Willingness to relocate is a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
