Job Description

Job Title: Mainframe Developer - Hybrid

Primary Skills: coding, testing, debugging programs in COBOL/CICS/DB2, JCL, Stored Procedures, Coding, testing & Debugging, Usability Testing, develop supportive documentation.

Location: Trenton, NJ (Prefer local candidates to the Trenton, NJ region to work two times a week in office.

If candidate resides more than 1 hour from the Client site, will candidate relocate for the position?

Candidate must be available to report onsite as directed.

Work address: R J Hughes Justice Complex, 25 Market St, Trenton, NJ 08611.

Start details: Two weeks after hiring.

Duration: 8/07/2025 (anticipated to be renewed)

Work arrangement: Hybrid: Candidate will work onsite 2 days a week and must be available to report onsite as directed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Note: Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite, 3 Days Remote. No Exceptions Local Candidates Preferred.

Looking for a Contractor with good communication (verbal and written), We are also looking for strong Cobol, JCL, DB2 and CICS skills.

Required Skills

- Experience in IT or related field. Required. 5 + yrs.

- Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study . Required.

- Certification:

- Contractor must have good communication (verbal and written). Required.

- IBM OS/JCL (MVS). Required. 5 + yrs

- IBM/DB2. Required. 5 + yrs

- Stored Procedures. Required. 5 + yrs

- CICS including Coding, testing & Debugging. Required. 5 + yrs

- Experience developing supportive documentation. Required. 5 + yrs

- Experience in Usability Testing (participate with the users in the system testing of their programs). Required. 5 + yrs

- Experience communicating & collaborating with internal and external groups. Required. 5 + yrs

- Overall technical and IT experience 5 plus years. Required. 5 yrs.

- IDMS to DB2 Conversion. Desired. 5 + yrs.

- IDMS/DC to CICS Conversion. Desired. 5 + yrs.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in information Technology or related field or equivalent experience required.
