Job Summary:
The Table Games Dealer is responsible for conducting table games in a professional and friendly manner while ensuring compliance with casino policies, gaming regulations, and exceptional customer service standards. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to create an enjoyable and engaging gaming environment for guests.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Game Operation: Operate and oversee table games such as blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, baccarat, and other games, ensuring adherence to established rules and procedures.
Customer Service: Provide excellent guest service by engaging players, answering questions, and creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
Game Integrity: Maintain the integrity of the game by monitoring play, identifying irregularities, and enforcing casino rules and regulations.
Chip Handling: Handle gaming chips and payouts accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper game flow.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with gaming laws, internal controls, and all casino policies.
Communication: Communicate clearly with players, supervisors, and other dealers to ensure smooth operations.
Problem Resolution: Address and escalate disputes or guest concerns professionally and promptly.
Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance in line with the casino's dress code standards.
Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned, including assisting with training, attending mandatory meetings, and learning new games.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
Experience: Prior experience as a dealer is preferred, but not required. Training may be provided.
Knowledge: Familiarity with multiple table games is an asset.
Skills:
Strong mathematical and mental calculation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to deal cards and manage chips effectively.
Licensing: Must obtain and maintain a gaming license as required by the local gaming commission.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
