Remote Senior Database Administrator

We are currently searching for a Remote Senior Database Administrator (Sr DBA):

Responsibilities:

Manage large-scale RDBMS and NoSQL systems, including database migrations.

Administer and optimize databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.

Perform SQL query optimization and troubleshoot across multiple database platforms.

Monitor and improve database performance using specialized tools.

Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance database solutions.

Apply data security best practices to protect sensitive information.

Develop and maintain Shell and Unix scripts to automate routine tasks, backups, data migrations, and system monitoring.

Support 24/7 production environments and ensure database reliability.

Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver customer-oriented solutions.

Operate effectively within Cloud, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps environments.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience managing large-scale RDBMS and NoSQL systems, including database migrations.

Proficiency in Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.

Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and troubleshooting across multiple platforms.

Familiarity with database performance monitoring and optimization tools.

Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performance database solutions.

Knowledge of data security best practices.

Experience working with Shell and Unix scripting for database automation.

Prior experience supporting 24/7 production websites.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Desired:

Experience in Cloud, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps environments.

Languages:

Advanced Oral English.

Native Spanish.
