Description:
The senior Application Analyst plays a critical role in the successful implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise applications within the healthcare setting. Under the direction of the Director of Applications, this position leads and manages application projects, serving as the primary point of contact for both clinical and administrative stakeholders. The analyst is responsible for system configuration, policy development, workflow analysis, testing, training, and end-user support to ensure applications align with organizational goals and improve patient care delivery.
This role requires strong collaboration with hospital departments, physicians, nurses, and third-party vendors to ensure successful outcomes. The Senior Analyst will also monitor system performance, analyze data to support quality improvement initiatives, and recommend enhancements that increase efficiency and user satisfaction. Effective communication, leadership, and a committment to continuous improvement are essential, as this role is instrumental in translating operational needs into functional technology solutions that drive innovation across the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Health Information Systems, Computer Science, Nursing, Logistics, Statistics or equivalent discipline is desired.
Minimum of 3 years exposure to the healthcare industry or applicable are of concentration.
Knowledge of information systems analysis.
Must have experience with report writing tools and methodologies or Advanced Excel Analysis (pivot tables, pivot charts, extensive functions, queries, conditional formatting, tables, utilizing multiple Excel documents on one sheet, data projections).
Must have experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Must have experience in full life cycle system development projects and completed work on a major application effort that involved the entire implementation from start to finish.
Will be expected to lead groups to map workflows.
Hours:
Minimum 40-hour work week. Rotating weekly call required. Flex schedules and shift work are possible during implementation. May be required to work other hours for effective department operations.
