Work Type:Hybrid (Monday/Friday WFH after in-office onboarding)

Compensation:$80,000$95,000

Our client, a recession-resilient organization in the healthcare space, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their collaborative five-person finance team in Tucson, AZ. About the Role:

Reporting to the CFO and eventually to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the organizations ongoing transition to NetSuite. This is a hybrid position, requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday after an initial onboarding period.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile fixed asset subledger, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.

Analyze and explain monthly variances in balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Perform credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with AP.

Prepare and reconcile prepaid expense schedules with proper amortization.

Review payroll reports for accuracy and alignment with budget expectations.

Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals and revenue recognition adjustments.

Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations.

Identify process improvements and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls.

What You Bring:

Bachelors degree in Accounting.

3+ years of accounting experience.

Strong understanding of accrual accounting and fixed asset management.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; NetSuite experience preferred.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a collaborative and focused team culture.
