Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist – System Administration opening for our client in San Jose, CA.

Location: San Jose, CA (no remote – must be onsite at client 4 days a week)

Duration: 6 months

Duties:

Administer and manage Active Directory operations across complex enterprise environments

Oversee Group Policy Objects (GPO) with intricate configurations involving inheritance, precedence, and enforcement

Monitor and maintain the client’s enhanced security On-prem Active Directory (AD) domains, resolving replication and connectivity issues

Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts using Visual Studio Code for automation, diagnostics, and administrative tasks

Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and compliant operations

Collaborate with IT teams to implement improvements, ensure system reliability, and support business initiatives

Skills:

Proficient in managing Active Directory environments

Deep expertise with Group Policy management and troubleshooting

Strong understanding of AD replication processes and issue resolution

Advanced scripting abilities using PowerShell and Visual Studio Code

Ability to analyze, create, and follow detailed SOPs

Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration focused on Microsoft technologies

Demonstrated experience working in secure, enterprise-level Active Directory environments

Experience managing policies and configurations in multi-domain and multi-forest environments

Prior experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting tasks

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00/hour to $70.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
