Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Distribution Center Operation manager will oversee day to day warehouse operation, which include inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and inventory control. The position also support and implement strategic plans and objectives to meet goals by directing, optimizing and coordinating warehouse operations contribute to the growth of Samsung SDS America.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the site management by implementing short range plans and strategic goals and objectives to meet performance goals and meet the operations mission, strategic plans

Help manage all business unit resources to successfully deliver results in quality, cost, safety and service

Develop high performing work teams to effectively meet the changing needs of the business by motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met

Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems

Attend daily status meetings to review prior day's performance and to develop action plan for current day and determine daily department staffing levels

Support weekly staffing reviews to determine appropriate staffing levels for operational departments

Produce reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis briefing team leaders on appropriate issues

Support safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries

Implement action plans for conducting internal analyses and gap identification; review current or future trends that indicate possible gaps in inbound or outbound functions or employees and make recommendations based on findings

· Provides input to upper management for strategic planning of facilities, systems, resources and processes

Support Productivity Improvement Plan for each performance indicator or area identified for improvement

Coordinates activities of the entire facility on assigned shift to achieve company objectives

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High School Diploma required

10+ years of relevant experience in warehouse or distribution center operations and 5+ years of management and leadership experience required.

KPI management, Inventory Slotting, Inventory Accuracy, Inventory Consistency, Inventory availability experience required

Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office: especially in Excel + power query, PowerPoint, Word

Experience and ability to work with Distribution Center, Supply Chain Team, Carriers to resolve any inbound/outbound shipment issues is required

Ability to expedite emergency requests

Ability to analyze and report recommendations and results related to operations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure communication to appropriate stakeholders, with appropriate ad-hoc reports and analyses issued timely and accurately

Ability to support the building operations to comply with all regulatory obligations, including but not limited to OSHA, and other government regulations

Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and safety standards related to warehouse operations.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members to achieve business objectives.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and excellence in record-keeping and reporting.

Ability to Travel: up to 10 % in U.S.

Physical Demands:

The position requires the ability to talk and hear while performing the duties of this job.

The position requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

The position requires dexterity to write and use computer keyboard and mouse.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, materials and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
