About the Role:
We are seeking a motivatedDistribution Center Managerto lead our newly established pipe distribution center in Savannah, GA. This role is responsible for the day-to-day warehouse management, including warehouse transfers, customer order fulfillment, and all related processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will build and lead a highly skilled, productive team of pipe specialists while ensuring the efficient, accurate, and safe handling of materials across receiving, storage, inventory, and shipping operations.
Reporting directly to the COO, this position plays a key role in maintaining high service standards, optimizing warehouse workflows, and driving team performance in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong presence on the warehouse floor. The work can be physically demanding and subject to a variety of conditions – hot, cold, or dirty – and our leaders are expected to lead by example and embrace our "get-it-done" culture.
What You'll Do:
Warehouse Operations
· Oversee inbound and outbound freight, order picking, staging, packing, and shipping
· Manage Will Call service with direct customer contact
· Optimize workflow, space utilization, & inventory accuracy; ensure regulatory compliance in all material handling
Team Leadership
· Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a team of 4-6 warehouse associates
· Monitor team performance and enforce productivity and safety standards
· Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Inventory & Equipment Management:
· Perform regular cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations
· Maintain forklifts and other warehouse equipment; ensure proper storage and handling of long-pipe materials
Safety & Compliance
· Maintain clean and safe working conditions; enforce OSHA, DOT, and internal safety policies
· Conduct routine safety inspections and lead corrective actions
Reporting & Process Improvement
· Track and report on key warehouse performance metrics (KPIs)
· Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
· Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and administrative teams
What We're Looking For:
· Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED accepted.
· 5-7 years warehouse management/supervisory experience; distribution/pipe-handling environments preferred
· Forklift certified; ability to operate 10,000 lb.+ forklifts a plus
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
· Comfortable working in a hands-on, physically active environment
