Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and design-drivenSenior Architectto join our established Columbus-based architecture and design firm. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong portfolio in public and private sector projects, particularly within educational, healthcare, and commercial environments. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader, well-versed in managing projects from concept through completion, and passionate about creating environments that serve communities and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the architectural design process for complex institutional and commercial projects

Oversee project teams through all phases, including design development, construction documentation, and construction administration

Collaborate directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design integrity and project goals are met

Conduct site visits and manage field coordination

Mentor junior architects and contribute to the development of best practices within the firm

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and sustainability goals

Support business development through proposal writing, client presentations, and RFP responses

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture

Licensed Architect (Ohio license preferred or ability to obtain quickly)

10–15 years of professional experience in architectural design, documentation, and construction administration

Proven expertise in K-12, higher education, healthcare, and commercial facility design

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and design visualization tools (SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Suite)

Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and materials

Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills

LEED or WELL accreditation is a plus
