A rapidly growing flavor innovation company is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician to support daily QC lab activities at their newly expanded Texas site. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a company known for its creativity, precision, and dynamic startup culture within a well-established, regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

Perform organoleptic (sensory) evaluations of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure quality standards.

Support daily QC operations including sample collection, flashpoint analysis, particle size testing, and allergen/micro testing.

Monitor inventory quality and shelf-life; coordinate re-labeling and stability assessments.

Execute final inspections of outgoing orders to ensure labeling, documentation, and shipment accuracy.

Assist in implementing and maintaining the QC Hold program, identifying non-conforming batches and supporting resolution processes.

Generate and manage regulatory and shipping documentation, including COAs, SDSs, and packing lists.

Conduct environmental monitoring such as warehouse swabs and potability sampling.

Maintain detailed records, sample retention, and overall laboratory organization.

Liaise with purchasing and production teams to support supplier evaluations and new product development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

1-3 years of laboratory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and food safety compliance programs.

Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to follow structured procedures.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable in fast-paced environments.

Technically proficient and able to learn new systems quickly.

Strong problem-solving and multitasking capabilities; team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in the flavor, food, or beverage industry.

Hands-on with QC testing techniques such as sensory panels, stability testing, and allergen analysis.

Knowledge of product labeling, documentation generation, and audit readiness.
