Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000/year

Job Description

The Network Infrastructure Engineer's role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network and IT infrastructure. This includes managing and monitoring LANs, WANs, wireless networks, virtual environments, and associated hardware. Daily responsibilities encompass system upgrades, patch applications, and troubleshooting complex network issues to reduce downtime. The engineer supports cybersecurity by enforcing best practices like firewall configurations, VLAN segmentation, and access controls. Collaboration with IT teams and departments is essential to support infrastructure projects and ensure they meet business requirements. Documentation of network configurations and procedures is crucial for consistency and disaster recovery. The position also includes managing cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and core services like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Reporting to the IS Infrastructure Manager, the engineer plays a key role in system performance, security planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Extensive knowledge in networking, infrastructure, firewalls/security, and VPNs.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Familiarity with Meraki solutions.

Experience in programming or scripting.

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or AWS/Azure.
