Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

This role requires more than just operating a machine; it involves setting up, performing tool changes, and tearing down CNC machines. You will need to read micrometers and calipers, interpret blueprints and drawings to create parts, and inspect the parts to ensure they are flawless. Additionally, you will conduct minor maintenance on the machine, with training provided if necessary.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC machines and perform tool changes and tear downs.

Read and interpret blueprints/drawings to create parts.

Inspect manufactured parts to ensure they are free of flaws.

Read measuring instruments, specifically micrometers and calipers.

Conduct minor maintenance on CNC machines, with training provided if needed.Essential Skills

1+ years of experience setting up machines (Mill or Haas).

1+ years of experience tearing down and performing tool changes on Mills or Haas.

1+ years of CNC operation experience on Mills or Haas.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to read blueprints.

Experience in machine maintenance.

Work Environment

Work on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, in a clean and bright environment with a long line of machines. The workplace is not climate-controlled and has a slight scent of oil and metal. The company has approximately 80 employees and features a large warehouse with small assembly stations in the second plant.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Haven, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $27.00/hr.
