Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will review production process work instructions and drawings, set up necessary equipment, and ensure accurate machine operation. You will be required to read and interpret G&M code, measure parts, and adjust offsets to comply with specifications. Maintaining a safe and organized work area is essential.
Responsibilities
Review production process work instructions and drawings with supervisor to gain a thorough understanding of requirements.
Setup equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing process.
Setup tools and fixtures, load into machine, and set offsets.
Set parts X, Y, and Z offset in the machine control.
Read and understand G&M code.
Measure parts throughout the process and adjust offsets to ensure drawings compliance.
Comply with all company safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.Essential Skills
Proficiency with CNC machines, manual machines, and machine setup.
Ability to read blueprints.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent math skills.

Work Environment
Work in a small machine shop that is quickly expanding, with the recent opening of a second location. Be part of a dynamic team that plans to double in size by the end of the year. The environment encourages creativity and quick thinking to tackle challenges. The job operates on a swing shift schedule, Monday-Thursday from 4:30 pm to 3:00 am, and involves working with various materials and machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
