Digital Marketing Specialist Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to take over operations for a sole owner/operator of a digital marketing agency while they’re out on extended leave. This will be a part-time (20-35 hours per week), fully remote opportunity. While this role is fully remote, you must currently reside in MD, VA, DC, MA, OH, MO, MS, TN, IN, TX, FL, NC, AL, GA or OK. Applicants residing in other states will not be considered.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and managing social media content, event listings, email campaigns, and website updates, all while adhering to brand guidelines. The role also involves graphic design using Canva, copy editing, building Google Forms, and maintaining customer relations through email and weekly Zoom meetings.

Digital Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:

Create, schedule, and publish engaging Facebook posts that align with the organization’s voice, branding, and communication goals. Monitor post-performance and adjust strategy as needed to maximize reach and engagement.

Manage the creation and posting of events on Eventbrite and Facebook, ensuring all event details are accurate, compelling, and aligned with organizational objectives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary event information and update listings as needed.

Design visually appealing digital graphics using pre-designed Canva templates, adhering strictly to established brand guidelines. Customize creative assets for social media, email marketing, and web use while maintaining consistency in tone and visual identity.

Develop and distribute email campaigns through Constant Contact, including layout design, content integration, testing, and performance tracking. Ensure emails are optimized for various devices and audiences while aligning with marketing and communications strategies.

Perform routine updates to the organization’s Wix website, including text edits, image updates, and event postings. Ensure all web content is current, accessible, and reflective of brand standards.

Review and edit written content for clarity, grammar, tone, and accuracy across platforms including web, email, and social media to ensure professional and consistent communication.

Build and maintain Google Forms to support event registrations, surveys, and internal data collection needs. Ensure user-friendly design and accurate data capture.

Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries via email, providing timely and professional responses. Participate in weekly Zoom meetings to support customer engagement, answer questions, and deliver updates on ongoing projects.

Digital Marketing Specialist Qualifications:

Proven experience creating and scheduling content for Facebook or other social media platforms.

Familiarity with posting and managing events on Eventbrite and Facebook.

Proficiency in graphic design using Canva, with the ability to follow strict brand guidelines and utilize pre-designed templates.

Experience creating and formatting email campaigns using Constant Contact or a similar email marketing platform.

Ability to perform basic website updates using Wix or a similar website builder.

Strong copy editing skills with attention to grammar, clarity, and brand voice.

Ability to create and manage Google Forms for data collection and event registration.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for handling customer inquiries and participating in weekly Zoom meetings.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.

This job is Fully Remote.

Pay Range: Hourly $20.00 to $26.00
