Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support throughout all design stages, from preliminary to post-production, for MSC or Navy vessel auxiliary systems.

• Develop purchase specifications and detailed installation packages for auxiliary/firefighting systems.

• Design marine auxiliary and piping systems, reviewing and analyzing preliminary and functional design documentation.

• Contribute to specifications writing, design calculations, outfitting design, and marine drawing, adhering to drawing standards and best marine design practices.

• Update Selected Record Drawings (SRDs), conduct ship checks, and prepare technical work documents.

• Write test procedures, compile and evaluate design and test data, and prepare technical specifications.

• Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate Firefighting systems.

• Develop deliverables, conduct quality assurance reviews, and perform risk assessments.

• Apply knowledge of commercial standards, including ABS, NAVSEA OP-4, SOLAS, SNAME, CFR, ASTM, NVIC and NFPA.
