Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Swiss Machinist to operate and maintain Swiss-style CNC machines in a precision medical device manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tight tolerance machining, particularly for small, intricate components used in surgical instruments, implants, or diagnostic devices.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss lathes (e.g., Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos).

Interpret and work from complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic G-code edits as necessary.

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, CMM).

Maintain quality standards and documentation in accordance with ISO 13485 or FDA regulations.

Troubleshoot machining problems and suggest process improvements.

Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S standards.

Perform routine machine maintenance and assist in preventive maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes, preferably in medical device manufacturing.

Proficiency with precision measurement equipment and quality documentation.

Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T symbols.

Experience working within ISO or FDA-regulated environments is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with multiple machine brands (Citizen, Tsugami, etc.).

Experience with multi-axis Swiss machining.

Basic programming/editing skills (G & M codes).

Prior work in cleanroom or sterile environments.
