Are you mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and passionate about precision testing? We’re looking for a Lead Test Technician to operate and maintain specialized membrane equipment used in the natural gas industry. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on performance testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for membrane systems.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred
Experience with industrial or field equipment—natural gas or petrochemical background preferred
Understanding of membrane technology or gas separation is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
Data collection and accuracy skills
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Strong team player with effective communication skills
Working Conditions:
Work performed in a remote test site environment with exposure to natural gas and chemicals
Testing equipment is housed indoors, though without heat or air conditioning
The site includes an office space with heating and air conditioning
Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor specialized membrane testing equipment such as gas permeation testers, pressure decay systems, and gas chromatographs.
Performance Testing: Conduct controlled tests (flow, performance, and pressure) to evaluate natural gas membrane elements and ensure they meet technical specifications.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on testing equipment. Quickly resolve any equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document test results, maintenance activities, and equipment performance. Prepare detailed technical reports for engineering and management teams.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment. No smoking is allowed on-site.
Collaboration: Work closely with site team members to ensure testing aligns with daily operations. Help develop and improve testing procedures.Company Description
