Press Brake Operator

Job Description

Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten sheet metal and metal plates.

Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and material requirements.

Select proper tooling based on material type and thickness.

Program machine controls or manually adjust machine settings to produce desired bends and angles.

Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.

Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain product specifications.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake equipment.

Monitor production output and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Adhere to all company policies, including safety procedures and quality standards.
