Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our student housing apartment community. This role is essential to keeping our property in excellent condition and ensuring that our student residents have a safe, functional, and comfortable living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and emergency maintenance requests in resident apartments and common areas
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues
Conduct preventive maintenance and property inspections
Turn and prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, repairs, and cleaning
Assist with student move-in/move-out processes
Maintain grounds and common areas, including trash pickup
Maintain inventory of supplies and tools; report when restocking is needed
Work closely with the property management team to ensure timely and efficient service
Respond to on-call emergencies as needed (rotation schedule)
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance experience required; apartment or student housing experience preferred
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor (climbing ladders, bending, lifting, etc.)
Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must pass a background check
Must pass a drug screening
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM, with rotating on-call weekends

Full-time
