Forklift Operator

Job Description

Midwest has been in business for over 30 years we are located in Independence, MO and are seeking an experienced, motivated, reliable and dedicated forklift operator to join our team. Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products utilizing a forklift.

Responsibilities:

Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items

Inspecting and verifying material for accuracy

Picking, staging and wrapping orders for shipments

Maintaining a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance

Identify, hold and segregate defective or damaged material

Perform other related duties and assignments as required

Actively participate in all safety programs

Qualifications/Requirements:

2-3 years of recent forklift experience

An energetic, motivated, and dependable worker who is dedicated to the job and team

Willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle tasks required for the success of the team and company

Ability to lift, push or pull and handle 10-50 pounds as necessary to operation

Required PPE

· Steel-toed shoes
