Senior IT Network & AV Engineer – [Washington D.C. Maryland Virginia]
Location: On-site, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $80,000–$120,000 (DOE)
Reports to: Chad Bowers, Director of Managed IT Services

Why This Role Matters
As a Senior IT Network Engineer, you’ll be the expert our team turns to when the stakes are high and the problems are complex. You’ll support and mentor Tier 1 and 2 Help Desk technicians, lead advanced technical projects, and occasionally step in for high-level AV system integrations. Your deep MSP experience and mastery of Microsoft 365 and Azure will be critical to our customers’ success and our team’s growth.
What You’ll Do
· Serve as the escalation point for advanced technical issues from Tier 1 and 2 IT Help Desk technicians
· Diagnose and resolve complex problems involving Microsoft 365, Azure, network infrastructure, IT support, cloud solutions, and technical leadership
· Lead and execute projects such as multi-tenant Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure automation deployments, and root-cause analysis of persistent network issues
· Mentor and support junior technicians, helping them develop their skills
· Plan and execute technical projects, including system upgrades, Azure deployments, and cloud infrastructure management
· Maintain clear, detailed documentation and contribute to our knowledge base
· Communicate directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
· Occasionally assist with advanced audio-visual (AV) system setups and troubleshooting
· Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, automate processes, and implement best practices
· Cross-train in different technical areas to increase flexibility and value within the team
What You Bring
· At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
· Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD)
· Significant experience with PowerShell scripting, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), and RMM/PSA tools
· Strong proficiency with Azure infrastructure (virtual networks, storage, compute resources, automation)
· Solid background in network administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
· Experience implementing and managing security solutions (firewalls, endpoint protection, incident response)
· Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused approach
· Strong communication and mentoring abilities
· Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator)
· Bonus: Audio Visual system configuration and programming experience
