Job Description

Description

As the Operations Systems Lead at Impulse Space, you will drive the design, configuration, and rollout of our enterprise systems—including ERP, MES, and supporting tools—to power efficient and scalable manufacturing and business operations. You’ll serve as an owner of our ERP and MES implementation, leading systems strategy and execution across engineering, planning, procurement, inventory, manufacturing, quality, and finance.

You’ll collaborate directly with executive leadership, domain experts, and external consultants to solve complex operational needs into usable, efficient workflows and system configurations that reflect how our team works. Post-go-live, you’ll continue to evolve our systems to support new capabilities and ensure data-driven decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities

Own the ERP & MES roadmap, leading implementation and configuration of Infor SyteLine and supporting systems across the full project lifecycle—from design and testing to go-live and continuous improvement

Collaborate with stakeholders to design cross-functional business processes spanning engineering change, production execution, supply chain planning, quality, and finance

Act as a hands-on system architect, administrator, and analyst, ensuring our systems are properly configured, integrated, and tailored to the specific needs of an engineering heavy organization

Adapt commercial systems to fit real world workflows, creatively working within system limitations to meet operational needs without excessive complexity and while balancing usability and rigor

Bridge the gap between software vendors, users, and technical teams to ensure everyone is aligned on goals, decisions, and tradeoffs

Drive user engagement and accountability, partnering with department leads to ensure process ownership, testing participation, and system training and adoption

Define and track implementation metrics, including user adoption, data quality, system reliability, and process improvements

Continuously iterate on our systems, managing change as the company grows and our needs evolve, including evaluating third-party solutions or custom extensions

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field

5+ years of demonstrated experience with ERP implementations, ideally with SyteLine or similar ERP systems, in a high-tech or engineering environment

Demonstrated success in managing ERP projects end-to-end, including budget oversight, timeline management, and cross-functional team coordination

Strong understanding of resource planning, inventory management, and costing principles, particularly within a manufacturing or aerospace context

Preferred Skills and Experience

8+ years' of overall ERP implementation experience; specifically utilizing SyteLine

For non-engineering backgrounds, an MBA or master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred

Experience in startup or agile settings, ideally with engineering or technical teams

Strong ability to simplify complex systems and drive user adoption

Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across technical and business areas

5+ years' of working directly with in-space manufacturing processes
