Job Title: Software Engineer II (Image Processing Engineer II)

Location: On-site – Sullivan Park, Corning, NY

Duration: 6 months (through December 31, 2025)

Pay Rate: $43/hr

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Summary:

We are seeking a Software Engineer II with strong MATLAB and image processing experience to develop and analyze algorithms for extracting features from large image sets. This work supports process insights critical to manufacturing and R&D.

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field

3+ years of relevant experience

MUST HAVE: Proficiency in MATLAB, ideally with Image Processing, Signal Processing, Curve Fitting, and Parallel Processing Toolboxes

Strong statistical background (e.g., higher-order moments, correlation methods)

Experience working with large datasets (GB–TB scale)

Skilled in writing modular, multi-level data processing software

Ability to debug and log custom code effectively

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain image processing algorithms

Analyze consistency of extracted image features

Maintain and organize shared codebase

Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams
