Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead design and documentation efforts across multiple regions for a residential-focused architecture team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership position, has a strong command of technical standards, and enjoys mentoring emerging talent while driving consistent project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of construction documents, permit sets, and technical deliverables

Review architectural drawings and provide final approval for submissions

Apply building codes and regulatory standards to ensure project compliance

Maintain internal design standards and ensure consistency across deliverables

Conduct quality reviews, document audits, and provide guidance to team members

Manage updates to standard plans and lot-specific layouts based on client input

Coordinate external consultants and monitor progress of assigned deliverables

Support innovation initiatives and drafting improvements within the team

Mentor junior staff and actively participate in hiring and development

Collaborate with internal partners to implement design updates and system improvements

Ensure timely completion of all technical aspects of projects across assigned regions

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program

Active architectural license with national certification

Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design with a focus on project execution and staff management

Expertise in design development, construction methods, and code application

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver technical coordination

Proficient with standard documentation and communication tools

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and cloud-based design collaboration platforms
