Seeking a Senior Integrations/Systems Engineer to lead avionics and platform system integration for next-gen unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Must have expertise in avionics, systems engineering, and troubleshooting across embedded systems, networking, and RF. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, mission-ready performance.
Responsibilities:
Design and maintain embedded and application-level software; develop tools and scripts in Python, Bash, and C/C++ to support automation, testing, and system integration.
Lead integration of avionics, mission payloads, flight controllers, and embedded subsystems, ensuring systems meet safety, reliability, and performance goals.
Configure and troubleshoot tactical networks, RF communications, and airborne data links to support robust system connectivity.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and electromechanical issues in both lab and field environments.
Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw) for system modeling, requirements management, and validation.
Develop and execute test plans, analyze system performance, and maintain traceability to support continuous improvement.
Produce technical documentation including integration guides, test reports, and troubleshooting manuals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years in Systems or Avionics Engineering, with hands-on integration and field ops experience
Strong networking skills: Ethernet, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless systems in tactical settings
Proficient with Linux (e.g., Ubuntu) and Windows, including command-line and system configuration
Skilled in Python, Bash, Shell, and C/C++; experience in embedded development and automation
Extensive troubleshooting across avionics, embedded systems, RF, and hardware/software interfaces
Familiarity with Software Defined Radios (SDRs): setup, integration, and tuning
Strong technical writing for system documentation and troubleshooting guides
U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance
