Job Title: Full-Stack .NET Developer (Blazor / MongoDB / SQL)
Location: Onsite Preferred – Berkeley, CA (Remote possible for the right candidate)
Type: Contract or Part-Time (with potential for ongoing work)
About the Role
We’re a small in-house development team nearing completion of a custom-built Point of Sale (POS) system for a small-to-medium business in Berkeley, California. The new system replaces a 25-year-old legacy application and is built with Blazor on the front end, MongoDB as the primary database, and SQL for reporting and legacy integration.
The application is designed to support deployment in a SaaS environment, enabling scalable multi-tenant operations and remote access capabilities.
We’re looking for a versatile full-stack developer—preferably onsite—who can help us finalize development, improve performance, and support post-deployment enhancements.
What You’ll Do
• Collaborate with a small development team to complete a Blazor-based POS system.
• Develop features using Blazor C#, and .NET Core.
• Work across MongoDB and SQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Integrate and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and internal services.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and iterative post-launch improvements.
• Support deployment and performance tuning in a SaaS-hosted environment.
What We’re Looking For
• Solid experience with Blazor and full-stack .NET Core development.
• Strong working knowledge of both MongoDB and SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models.
• Experience with RESTful API integration.
• Version control skills with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Comfortable working onsite and communicating regularly with a small team.
• Experience working with or building SaaS applications a strong plus.
Nice-to-Haves
• A working understanding of SCRUM or similar Agile methodologies.
• Experience developing or maintaining POS or transactional systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms or deployment tools (Azure, AWS, Docker).
• Awareness of data security best-practices, particularly for financial or retail systems.
• Familiarity with frontend styling and responsive design.
What We Offer
• Flexible scheduling, with a preference for onsite collaboration in Berkeley.
• A high-impact role on a real-world application used in daily business operations.
• Direct access to project decision-makers with minimal bureaucracy.
• Potential for ongoing collaboration on future development efforts, including SaaS-related scaling and feature evolution.
