Cnc Machinist

**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a clean, quiet, and well-lit facility specializing in military-grade projects. In this role, you will interpret technical drawings and specifications to set up and operate CNC machinery with precision. You’ll be responsible for executing complex machining operations, maintaining tight tolerances, and ensuring all work meets exacting standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to plan machining tasks.

+ Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines and manual machine tools.

+ Perform progressive machining operations with very close tolerances.

+ Determine optimal operation sequences and select the appropriate tooling based on the material's machinability.

+ Apply CNC programming fundamentals to ensure accurate and efficient machining.

+ Monitor and maintain coolant quality; perform routine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks.

+ Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.

+ Carry out additional duties as assigned within the same pay grade.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

+ Proven experience interpreting blueprints and setting up CNC machines.

+ Proficiency in operating CNC equipment and using various tooling.

+ Solid understanding of CNC programming fundamentals.

+ Ability to make machine adjustments based on blueprint specifications.

+ Completion of a two-year machine shop vocational program or equivalent to 10,000 hours of hands-on experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Degree or certification in CNC machining.

+ Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently (programming experience is a plus).

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.58 - $44.00/hr.
