About the Team

The Accounting team at Alaska Behavioral Health plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. We manage daily accounting operations, support compliance with grant requirements, process vendor payments, and handle billing functions to ensure smooth revenue flow. Our team works collaboratively with programs across the organization to maintain accuracy, transparency, and fiscal responsibility.

What You’ll Do

Greeting visitors and supporting department staff.

Issuing and tracking company assets (cellphones, laptops, credit cards, and keys).

Ordering office supplies and managing copier and postage needs.

Handling department mail and back up interoffice courier duties.

Monitoring the team accounting inbox.

Scanning and distributing documents for the Billing Department.

Assisting remote billing staff with form processing and general inquiries.

Cross-training for backup support across the Accounting Department.

Full-Time, Exempt

Pay Range: $19.23 - $24.89 (Eligible for up to $6,000 in incentive with the average being $2,300)

What We Need from You

Minimum Requirements:

Associate Degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Experience with computerized ledger systems.

Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with fund/cost accounting structures.

Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and travel between locations as needed.

Valid Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record.

Bonus If You Have:

Experience in nonprofit or fund accounting.

Knowledge of accounting terminology and strong analytical skills.
