Natural Resources Technician 1 (Intermittent) - Central Office and

Schedule: Part-time

What we need:

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of intermittent Natural Resources Technician 1 within the Division of Wildlife, assigned to Franklin County. The address is 2045 Morse Rd., Columbus, OH 43229.

What you will do:

· Maintenance of displays and landscaping duties

· Use hand tools and power tools

· Interact with the public that visit our state fair exhibit

· Keep publications and supplies stocked

· Assist with other projects in the division’s communication section

· Clean the animal cages and feed the various wildlife species on display at the state fair exhibit

Preferred Qualifications:

· Be able to lift at least 35 pounds.

· Be tolerant of working in poor conditions (e.g., weather, biting insects, poison ivy)

Duration and Work Hours:

· July – September 2025

· 40 Hours/Week (Typically 8-hour days but may include longer days, up to 12 hours)

· This position will be required to work at the Ohio State Fair

· This is a maximum duration, 1000 hour intermittent (unclassified) position for the Division of Wildlife

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary; valid driver’s license; valid Commercial Driver’s License required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Section 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio Revised Code.
