Job Description
The Infrastructure Project Manager supports a variety of project types, including construction, multi-site deployments, network upgrades, data centers and other critical infrastructure projects. They are responsible for planning and executing the scope of the project ensuring it is delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
Duties and responsibilities
Leadership: Lead and coordinate teams, including network engineers, cabling technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
Project Planning: Develop and manage detailed project plan that outlines the scope, schedule, resources, and budget for the project. Understand schedule priorities, work windows, and precursors/prerequisites for each vendor that has an impact on the network infrastructure.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with all internal and external resources to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained and act as the primary contact for the client.
Technical Aptitude: Possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure, low voltage cabling standards, and network topologies. Be capable of reading and understanding construction documents, blueprints, elevation drawings, site plans, as-builts, etc.
Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate and comprehensive information on the project, including schedules, reports, change orders, and meeting minutes, ensuring transparency and accountability. Communicates regularly throughout the project with team members regarding job progress, issues, and concerns. Provides regular and timely project updates to all assigned customer shareholders and key internal employees.
Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial constraints while optimizing resource allocation throughout full duration of the project.
Qualifications
4-6 years’ experience as a technology services project management.
Bachelor’s Degree.
RTPM or PMP certification preferred.
Knowledge of low voltage cable, network components, infrastructure, and connectivity.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficient time management skills; sense of urgency.
Skilled with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, MS Teams, CAD Viewers, Construction Management Platforms, etc.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
