About Us:

A-1 Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a valued client in the manufacturing industry, located in the Omaha area. Our client is committed to quality, innovation, and excellence, and we are seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Production Utility Worker. This is a temp-to-hire position.

Position Overview:

As a Production Utility Worker, you will play a key role in supporting our clients manufacturing operations. This role involves handling, packaging, and ensuring the quality of finished products in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Extrusion Line: Assist with start-up and shut-down processes and support the Extrusion Operator to maintain smooth production flow.

Quality Control: Conduct regular product inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Fabrication & Preparation: Bundle, tape, stack, and prepare products for palletization and shipment.

Material Handling: Operate forklifts safely to move materials and products.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the production area organized and free of debris.

Product Recycling: Grind rejected materials for reuse.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Certifications: OSHA Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and company policies in English.

Second shift: 4:00pm-12:00am, Monday - Friday, weekends and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and use hands/arms frequently during shifts.

Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable working in environments with loud noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
