Structural Designer I

Our Client is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Designer I to join their Structural Engineering Department. Reporting to the Managing Director or Studio Director, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative structural design solutions for a diverse portfolio of projects.

Your Role

Manage project engineering and perform routine design tasks, working with materials such as steel, composite design, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, post-tensioned concrete, tilt-up concrete, masonry, timber, light gage framing, and shallow/deep foundations.

Create contract documents that adhere to relevant building and zoning codes.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, review shop drawings, conduct site visits, and provide support to Project Engineers or Senior Project Designers as needed.

Work independently on assignments with technical guidance on complex issues and supervisory approval for project plans.

What You Bring

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural Engineering.

Experience: 0-3 years of structural design experience. New Grads welcome

Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and other structural engineering design software.

Qualities: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to excel in both independent and team-oriented environments.

Preferred: Engineering licensure is a plus.
