Position Purpose
Provide technical support to internal and external customers (e.g., production personnel, suppliers, quality, materials, overhaul, and manufacturing). Assess requests to deviate from approved design. Develop repair/workaround scheme, substantiate simple and moderate deviations. Substantiate more complex repairs/replacement/process as appropriate, working closely with production control, manufacturing, CRO, procurement, finance, quality, and engineering.
Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluates structural or component damages, discrepancies, malfunctions, or proposed changes of up to high complexity, and develops a suitable disposition, including work instructions if required, and substantiation.
Reviews technical documents such as engineering reports, drawings, manuals, and specifications for errors, completeness, currency, and clarity.
Researches, prepares, and submits data changes (e.g., for manuals, repairs, drawings) of up to high complexity in accordance with company procedures.
Provides technical expertise to production personnel or suppliers concerning interpretation of engineering data.
Based on assignment, employee must use diverse but conventional methods, techniques, or approaches utilizing processes, procedures, or software which may vary from one assignment to the next.
Minimum Qualifications
4-year engineering degree in related field preferred, or 2-year engineering degree in related field combined with relevant experience.
Advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering preferred.
Must possess basic computer skills including Word and Excel, computer aided drafting ability a plus and Blueprint reading skills.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Working knowledge in a broad range of engineering subjects including design, stress analysis and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of professional engineering concepts and practices, together with practical knowledge of associated engineering disciplines
Knowledge of FAA regulations and ability to provide data for PMA (Parts Manufacture Approved).
Experience with 3D printing, specifically metal printing desired.
Must have reading, speaking, writing, and understanding skills in the English language.Requirements:
