Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an MBSE Systems Engineer for the Systems Engineering & Integration Team, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing expert engineering to MDA to define, develop, and integrate Missile Defense System concepts, architectures, and requirements.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Missile defense and sensor domain expertise, architecture development, functional decomposition, requirements development, and interface definition with MBSE tools (DOORS, MSoSA, CAMEO).

Job Description:

Perform model-based systems engineering (MBSE) functional and behavior analysis for the defeat of conventional and advanced Threats within the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) mission area

Participate in a MBSE environment to develop system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis

Contributes to publishing change notices to MDA’s system specification and update of requirements databases, architectural models, interface definitions

Document and communicate analysis results in reports and briefings

Desired Skills:

Strong prior experience with use of MSoSA (CAMEO) and DOORS

Demonstrated experience modeling missile defense applications or similar domains (e.g., air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic/non-ballistic targets, space vehicles)

Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems (e.g., aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures)

Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $110,175.00 - USD $122,225.00 /Yr.
