What You'll Do: As our Accounting and Financial Management Leader, you'll be responsible for: Financial Oversight & Control:Establish, monitor, and enforce robust internal controls across all functions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.Guide and support the accounting and finance team in developing clear and accurate policies and procedures.Oversee daily operations for accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, collections, fixed assets, and general/cost accounting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Lead the entire month-end and annual close process, financial analysis, and reporting.Manage cash flow, account for all assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses, and prepare detailed balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.Review and process fixed asset and payment batches, and prepare accurate cash forecasts.Ensure compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.

Strategic Planning & Budgeting:Collaborate with senior leadership on annual budget packages, including cash flow projections, 5-year forecasts, and operational plans.Partner closely with our European Finance Team on global financial initiatives.Develop, manage, and control the overall annual budget and expense schedules.Provide consistent and accurate reporting to management on budget performance and expenditures.Evaluate all accounting operations to align with business goals and departmental budgets.Assess and recommend accounting technology and software solutions to meet evolving business needs.Conduct contract reviews and collaborate with the Operations team on ROI analysis for CAPEX projects.

Reporting & Auditing:Prepare and submit quarterly bank reports.Present monthly and annual financial and working capital reports to our parent company.Review and prepare all sales and property tax reporting for local and federal authorities.Coordinate and lead annual financial reviews and audits.Generate ad-hoc reports using Excel, SAP, and Power BI to support business growth and profitability initiatives.

People Leadership & Development:Manage, mentor, and guide our AR, Credit, AP, Analyst, and GL staff.Partner with HR on effective approaches for hiring, onboarding, development, supervision, compensation, and rewards.Support and hold employees accountable for goal setting, KPIs, and overall performance management.Provide meaningful recognition for individual and team contributions.Address individual concerns and resolve workgroup issues, collaborating with HR as needed.Foster a collaborative and customer service-oriented accounting and finance team, encouraging them to be strategic business partners.Collaborate with HR on required team training and development programs.

What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a CPA is a significant plus.5+ years of experience as a Controller in a small or medium-sized company.10+ years of progressive experience in various public or private accounting functions.At least 5 years of experience in a management role, leading multiple direct reports.5+ years of hands-on analytics experience.Strong understanding and experience with accrual-based accounting and US GAAP standards.5+ years of experience with SAP FICO.Proven experience with production and costing, as well as intercompany transactions.Strong working knowledge of corporate accounting and finance within the wholesale, retail, or manufacturing industries.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Power BI, SAP, and other analytical and planning software.
